The Client  

Compass Associates are proud to be recruiting for a leading Private Hospital, located in South London, who are currently in search for a Lead Theatre Practitioner to join their team. This well-established hospital offers a full range of services including Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Women’s Health, Oncology, ENT, Urology, General Surgery, Imaging and Physiotherapy.  Our client prides themselves on their company values and employee’s wellbeing. The Candidate  

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified Senior or Lead Scrub Practitioner seeking a new challenge within theatres. Deputising for the Theatre Manager in their absence, you will be a key member of the Theatres Team who will lead, support and assist in the management and organisation of care within the Theatres Department. We are looking for a Lead Theatre Practitioner who is motivated, committed to improving care and the patients experience, who will help develop the skills and knowledge of the team.    

     

This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hour week, which will be worked between Monday-Friday with the occasional Saturday cover. In order to be successful with this opportunity, you must be a Registered General Nurse with the NMC or qualified Operating Department Practitioner registered with the HCPC.  

   

Role Requirements  

- RGN or ODP qualification    

- Registered with the NMC or HCPC    

- Mentorship qualification    

- Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience is preferred  

- Previous experience working at a Senior or Lead level, equivalent of Band 6 or Band 7    

- Proven experience leading and developing a team    

- Experienced within multiple specialities e.g. Orthopaedics, ENT and Urology    

- Passion for high quality patient care    

- Clear Communicator    

- Proven CPD  

   

Salary and Package
