The Client

Compass Associates are extremely proud to be working with a specialist Private Hospital, located in Kent, who are currently in search for a Lead Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse to join their Theatres Department. This well-established hospital offers a full range of services including Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, ENT, Women’s Health and Physiotherapy, as well as having an excellent Pre-Assessment and Outpatient Service. The Role  

The successful candidate will work as part of the highly specialised Theatres team to provide effective, evidence-based and patient focused care. Reporting directly into the Theatre Manager, you will help support, coordinate and assist in the organisation of the Theatre Department, managing the Team of Orthopaedic Scrub Nurses. You will have a number of responsibilities including developing the services to achieve profitability and growth, assisting in recruitment and staff selection, as well as providing professional leadership and knowledge.                       

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive theatre experience within a Lead or Senior capacity, with a strong major orthopaedics background, with a passion for promoting high standards of patient care.

 

This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hour per week. There is a good level of shift flexibility that they can offer, catering for either longer days or shorter shifts across the week, based on what you would prefer. The successful applicants will either be RGN trained and registered with NMC, or a trained ODP registered with the HCPC. - RGN or ODP Qualification

- NMC or HCPC registration

- Strong experience working within the acute healthcare sector

- Extensive theatre experience covering major and minor orthopaedics

Location

This Hospital is located in Orpington, Kent, making it easily accessible from Bromley, Seven Oaks and South London.  

 

Summary

There is a generous salary of up to £42,000 on offer, which could be negotiated dependent on experience.
