The Client

Compass Associates are proud to have partnered with a specialist cancer centre based in Central Birmingham in their pursuit of a Senior Nurse to join their oncology department. Their department has very advanced technology on site including a dedicated cancer centre, a rapid access breast clinic, MRI and CT scanning technology and an onsite pharmacy for faster access to treatment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse to join a multi-disciplined support team to provide specialist cancer care to patients in a state-of-the-art facility. You will work alongside a fantastic team including physiotherapists, dieticians, chaplains, clinical psychologists and other specialist nurses to play a key role in achieving the best possible patient outcome.

The Role

As a Senior Nurse working in the oncology department you will be responsible for providing specialist cancer care to patients. The unit has 10-day case pods and 6 in-patient beds and treats around 2,000 patients per year. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver the very best outcome to patients and will be the first point of contact for patients families and loved ones. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week and will be a flexible working pattern.

My client is looking for a full time senior nurse to join their oncology department. In return, there is a generous base salary on offer of up to £33,000 per annum along with excellent company benefits including private medical insurance, company pension scheme, 33 days annual leave increasing with service and plenty of opportunity for future progression and development with use of the hospitals in-house learning academy.
