Nurses are a crucial part of the multi-professional team that always puts the customer first. Working in one of our households providing 24 hour specialist care for people living with dementia or those with a nursing requirement, you will need to use your clinical judgement to help customers improve, maintain or recover their health. You will also need to be able to coach and lead a team of support workers in providing person centred care.


Be a visible, competent and positive role model, providing leadership, supervision and coaching to nurses and relevant support worker teams

Accountability and responsibility for those customers who have been assessed as requiring 24 hour nursing care whilst maintaining a Duty of Care for all customers in the village.

Provide person-centered nursing care & support, which meets Belong standards, regulatory requirements, the ‘Compassion in Practice’ 6C’s and adheres to the NMC Code of Conduct and guidance within the NMC ‘Scope of Professional Practice’.

Ensure Belong values are translated into practice and high quality services are developed and maintained

Provide physical, emotional and social support for customers in a way which encourages choice and independence.


Recruit to and maintain a highly skilled and customer focused nurse team

Provide 24hr cover as part of the Village ‘on call’ management team and deputise for the Support Manager in their absence

Act as Palliative Care lead and work with PDF to ensure that staff undertake required training

Develop relationships and work in partnership with Specialist nurse teams, GPs and other Healthcare professionals to identify support and resources required to meet customer need and to anticipate changes in their condition.

Contribute to the development and review of clinical procedures, policies and services within Belong

Carry out assessments of individual customer’s nursing needs, ensuring that each assessment is on-going and promotes independence, choice and positive risk taking

Ensure each nursing resident has a life plan which accurately reflects their needs and wishes and that any outcomes sought are considered to be in their best interests

Ensure that the resident’s (and/or their advocate’s) involvement is sought in the developing, monitoring and reviewing their life plan
