Job Description

We have an exciting vacancy for a Nurse Practitioner to join a community service across West Lancashire, North of Liverpool and St Helens. This is a fixed term contract of 4 months initially.

You'll be managing a case load of undifferentiated cases using telephone triage and

home visits of patients that are referred on the day with acute presentations, assess

and manage medical, psychological and social needs including complex cases. You'll need to be autonomous and confident working both in a team and alone.

To be suitable for this vacancy you must be registered Nurse, ideally with an MSc in Advanced Practice or your Advanced Clinical Examination Skills at Level 7, although those without can be considered as long as you've been working within the role for a minimum of 3 years.

You will need to have your V300 Prescribing and have UCC/Community or Pre-Hospital work experience.

The contract will last until April 2021, at which point the success of the placement will be reviewed and there may be chance for the contract to be extended or for you to be taken on permanently.

You will receive a Band 8A salary, between £45,000-£50,000 FTE, depending on experience and skill set. Alongside this you'll receive NHS pension contributions, 5 weeks of annual leave (pro rata) and insurance costs covered.
