Job Description

The post holder will work as part of the Community Drug & Alcohol Team assisting with a
holistic approach to improve the mental and physical health of service users in a variety of
settings.

The Vacancy: 

To assist the band 6 senior nurses to plan, prepare and carry out detoxification in the
community, in peoples own homes and as inpatient detoxification if indicated. They will also
assist with titration, transfer and stabilisation of opiate substitute medication.

Requirements: 

  • Registered nurse with NMC registration. 
  • Demonstrate a caring, non-judgemental and empathic approach to individuals with
    addiction.
  • Demonstrate the capacity to treat service users with dignity, respect equality and
    diversity. Respecting their individual rights
