Registered Mental Health Nurse - Nights ONLY - Permanent - Full Time OR Part Time - Borehamwood - £32,000- £45,000 per annum + benefits

An exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join a private hospital in Borehamwood has arisen. The service specialises in treating people with personality disorder, using an evidence-based treatment modality- MBT (Mentalization Based Therapy). They offer a more traditional rehabilitation and recovery route for patients with psychotic illnesses.

The 30-bedded hospital features a library, multi-purpose room, therapy studios and grounds. All patients staying are given the opportunity to attend a timetable planning session to help plan their day with purposeful activities.

You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid, up to date NMC PIN.

Responsibilities include:

-working in cooperation with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximize opportunities for patient therapeutic care.

-assisting in the assessment of the effectiveness of care and nursing implementation and delivery.

-developing, implementing, reviewing care plans, ensuring that any changes and / or observations in the patient’s condition/ needs are adhered to within the scope of the CPA.

-ensuring a whole care treatment package is applied to each patient, including their mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

- participating/ facilitating group activities.

- enabling patients to view/ understand/ reflect on their strengths and weaknesses to promote their recovery and social inclusion.

- contributing ideas and suggestions that may support a patient’s treatment, the effectiveness of the team and/ or the unit.

This is a full time (42 hours per week) position. Part time will be considered (minimum of 2 shifts per week). Shifts are for nights only, but shift patterns may vary. Some flexibility may be possible. The role is paying between £32,000 and £45,000 per annum + benefits. The opportunity for training and specialising in MBT is also available.
