What you’ll do
Leading the care team during your shifts, you will make certain that we fully meet residents’ medical, physical and emotional requirements. Ensuring compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will mentor and motivate colleagues, champion residents’ safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement, whilst acting as Named Nurse for your own portfolio of service users.
Who you are
An NMC Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD), you will be well versed in care planning processes and fully familiar with clinical assessment tools. You will be keen to develop your leadership skills and clinical knowledge, capable of building close relationships with residents and their families, and determined to drive continuous improvement.
Who we are
In addition to the residential and nursing suites, we have a younger persons unit which is the only one in the Tameside area. Riverside provides general nursing for residents between the ages of 18-65 and look after a range of residents from full time to rehabilitation to enable them to return home.
The dementia nursing unit has a whole home approach and is committed to enabling residents to be as independent as possible; we have a rabbit “Benny” that our residents help to take care of.
Riverside has a strong management team with two deputy managers that offer full support to our nurses and are committed to develop our nurses by providing training. They also offer full support to all nurses when they are going through their PIN revalidation.
What we offer
As one of our valued nurses you can benefit from both clinical and management training, enabling you to become a clinical lead, senior trainer or home manager. You can also expect competitive pay, a choice of day, night or weekend shifts and comprehensive benefits, a stakeholder pension and life assurance scheme, bank holiday enhancements, paid DBS check, thousands of online and in-store discounts and free uniform.
- Where you'll work
- At Riverside we offer high quality care together with a warm welcome and lively atmosphere.
Riverside is a modern, purpose-built care home located on the outskirts of Hyde in Cheshire. We provide support for older people, including specialist nursing and dementia care, and we also care for younger people in a separate unit within the home.
Our highly skilled team has a great deal of experience in meeting the individual care needs of residents, including people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. We work closely with residents and their families to create personalised care plans and develop engaging activities that promote independence and wellbeing.
Residents and visitors enjoy the warm, welcoming and lively atmosphere we have here at Riverside. There’s always something going on that you can get involved in and there’s a great deal of interaction between residents and members of our team. We’re big believers in offering residents choice in all aspects of daily life too.
Care UK is committed to ensuring that it employs people with the right mix of talent, skills and potential and will assess every applicant fairly regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, responsibilities for dependents, age, physical/mental disability or offending background. Having a criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from working with us, it will depend on the nature of the role and background of any offence.
