Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Health Visitor to join the established team on the beautiful Island of Guernsey , in the Channel Islands.

This key role will include delivering the 'Healthy Child Programme' to children and families that enables the children to attain their full potential in physical, mental and emotional health.

This exciting role will also include implementing evidenced based programmes including 'MECSH' ( Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Homevisiting Programme )

You will be working as part of a corporate team in a defined geographical area meeting identified health needs, including the identification and protection of children at risk of abuse and referral to other professionals as required.

Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.

The current Guernsey Band 6 salary is up to £47,094 plus an annual bonus of £1,286 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.

Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

Person requirements

Qualified Nurse and Health Visitor with full NMC registration.

At least two years post-registration Health Visitor experience.

The ability to manage own caseload within a defined geographical area and work as part of a small team

A sound understanding of child protection and current health visiting practice

Current driving licence
