Team Leader, Children's Complex Needs Service - Ashton-under-Lyne - up to £10.50p/h
My client is a specialist in children's care and offer therapeutic support to Children and Young People with Complex Needs and Mental Health. They have 5 homes at the moment, and offer specialist services in each of the homes, tailored to the young people. They pride themselves on creating a homely environment for their residents. Since opening they have been rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' in Ofsted Inspections.
This is a 4 Bed Service in the Ashton-under-Lyne, for Children and Young people with Complex Needs. These children can be any age from birth to 16years, and due to their conditions need 24hr care. They offer a clinical care package for all residents, and you will be supported by a Nurse on site at all times. A knowledge of Peg Feed, Oxygen, Vents and Tractotomy etc is essential.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Leader to join the friendly and welcoming team. You will work alongside the other team leaders to help with the day to day running of the service and will deal with rotas and staff management. You will assist when the management of the home in the Managers absence.
You will also provide high standard of care for the Children and Young People at all times and will ensure the staff team are doing the same. You will help to empower the residents at the service to lead a full and independent life.
You will be required to work mainly days, but able to cover nights if needed. The time for your shifts are 7:00am to 9:00pm.
To apply for this role, you must have the following,
- Experience in a Senior or Supervisory role within Children's Residential Care
- NVQ 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce
- Experience with Peg Feed, Tracheotomy, Stoma Bag etc
- Driver (will be required to drive a mini bus at times)
- An ongoing commitment to Personal Development
- A Passion for making a difference in the lives of children
