We provide high quality, responsive palliative care and bereavement support across Hastings and Rother and work collaboratively with others to improve end of life care for all
Are you passionate about nursing, end of life care and enabling people to be supported at home? Are you motivated by ensuring the highest standards of care delivered responsively and compassionately? If so, we’d like to hear from you.
St Michael’s Hospice enables people living with serious, advanced illness to live as fully as possible until they die and provides compassionate, expert care at the end of life. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team as an Interim Community Nursing Manager.
Supporting the Clinical Directors, this interim role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in improving end of life care in this locality by enhancing the nursing aspects of our community service whilst we integrate our Community and Wellbeing provision. With a sound understanding of working in a multidisciplinary setting, you will lead and develop the day to day operations of the community nursing team consisting of Clinical Nurse Specialists, 24/7 Hospice at Home, night sitting service and telephone advice.
We are seeking an inspiring and effective nurse leader to drive continuous improvement and ensure we are a responsive and supportive partner to other health and social care professionals in Hastings and Rother. A background in palliative/end of life care is preferred but not essential provided you have considerable management experience combined with a collaborative leadership style and excellent interpersonal skills.
At St Michael’s Hospice we offer a friendly, team orientated work environment – a good pension scheme with the option to continue any existing NHS pension scheme membership, discounted gym membership, 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, subsidised employee meals, supportive supervision and a proactive Education Department to support with development.
Closing date: 9am on Tuesday 23 June 2020
Interview date: Thursday 2nd July 2020.
