Greater Manchester Health and Social Care partnership have invested monies (as part of the 5 year Forward View investment) to develop a Specialist Perinatal CMHT for GM. The Specialist Team will be responsible for delivering care and treatment to women in the perinatal period and supporting the education of training of the health and social care workforce across GM to ensure women can access help earlier. Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust are the provider of this MH programme across GM. The team is growing in line with the investment and GMMH is seeking flexible forward thinking enthusiastic staff who will provide specialist perinatal care.
The successful candidates will work as an autonomous Perinatal Community Nurse with a defined caseload, ensuring the ongoing assessment of women within the service and providing a range of needs-led interventions and care.
You will have a crucial role in the identification and treatment of the mental health needs of pregnant women and those with infants up to one year old.
You will work in collaboration with both colleagues from Adult Mental Health services and staff from other perinatal services.
You will work collaboratively, Specialist Midwifery, Children and families' services, Early Attachment services and IAPT
They will also deliver interventions and negotiate care plans with service users, families/carers and other professionals, and ensure that quality and timely care is delivered at all times.
There is also a duty worker element to this role, which will be carried out to support the Referral/assessment system.
