Our Unit & what we can offer you
We know at the Royal London Hospital, we can offer experiences no other unit in North East and North Central London can offer -medical and surgical neonatal experience with possible rotation into the neonatal transport service (based at RLH) and nurse-led SCBU.
It is one of three neonatal units within Barts health trust and is part of the North Central and North East Thames network. It is a level 3 Tertiary unit providing care for babies born at 23 weeks and above. Cooling, ROP service and specialist surgeries for East London and South Essex for any gestation aged neonate are a few of the services we provide.
Skills and experience required
- RN Child/RSCN, RM or RGN with the Neonatal QIS qualification and neonatal life support course
- Neonatal experience at staff level in intensive care or local unit
- Evidence of continuing education and awareness of research and audit
- Excellent organisation, communication and team working skills.
