Cardiology Services Matron at the Bristol Heart Institute Band 8a ( Fixed term 9 months)
A fixed term Matron's post has arisen for a senior nurse to develop their career and play a key role in developing our services, in the division of specialised services. The post holder will be responsible for a range of cardiac services within Bristol Heart Institute. The Bristol Heart Institute at University Hospitals Bristol And Weston is a tertiary and highly specialised Cardiac hospital providing care and support to not only the population of Bristol but to the region and further.

The role of the Matron is fundamental to ensuring patients receive safe, high quality care and a positive patient experience which is responsive to the needs of patients, families and their carers. Therefore we are seeking a senior nurse who has strong leadership skills and is passionate about delivering innovative practice. The post holder will need knowledge, skill and attention to detail to continue to deliver real improvements in quality. Above all, we are looking for an individual who is committed to delivering excellent patient care in a safe environment.

There will be opportunities to develop your skills further, with the support of the existing divisional senior nursing and management teams. If you think you have the right skills and determination we would like to hear from you.
