Partnering Health Group are an established and expanding healthcare organisation responsible for providing a variety of urgent and primary health care services across Hampshire.
An ideal opportunity for a Clinical Manager to join the Extended Access and Urgent Primary Care Service at PHL your role is very important in providing dedicated clinical management and leadership of the clinical team for the delivery of a safe, efficient, reliable and a high quality clinical service.
As a Clinical Manager you will lead your clinical team as an experienced clinical leader your leadership style is always delivered with a caring and respectful disposition. You will work closely with the Service Manager, Service Clinical Lead and Governance Manager to ensure accountability and compliance with robust governance processes within PHL governance framework.
Clinical Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
The post holder will be an experienced Practice Nurse or Clinical Practitioner (Nurse or Paramedic) with additional advanced clinical assessment and minor illness knowledge.
To provide clinical care to patients this will include assessing, requesting investigations, diagnosing and treating patients presenting with clinical needs that can be met by Primary Care including, telephone triage and medication reviews within clinical competence.
To provide clinical administration duties such as report writing, processing clinical workflow, letters, test results and referrals within clinical competence.
Refer to other agencies such as safeguarding teams, secondary care where appropriate.
Provide emergency care while waiting for emergency transfer of patient when appropriate
Provide advice and support to colleagues and the multi-disciplinary team
To adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the NMC/HCPC and to put individual patient care as your priority.
An experienced Nurse or Paramedic with current professional registration
Master level education or equivalent experience demonstrating leadership and management and expert clinical practice
A minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in Primary Care
Good clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of minor Primary care presentations
Good clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of Chronic Disease in Primary care
Record of on-going CPD and learning
Sound knowledge of clinical governance
Responsible for 1:1’s with clinical staff within the Primary Care Service and managing the development of staff within their roles.
Clinical Manager Skills and Experience:
Good management and leadership skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
Good organisational and IT skills – knowledge of EMIS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written, verbal (Particularly listening skills)
Clear understanding of professional responsibility and accountability.
Good organisational skills and ability to manage and prioritise own workload
