Job Description

It's an exciting time to join us: KMPT has been rated Outstanding for Caring and Good overall in our most recent CQC inspection in January 2019! We are delighted to announce that KMPT have opened a Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) serving the population of Kent, Surrey and Sussex, situated in Dartford. Working closely with NHS England, the aim is to improve the access and quality of perinatal mental health services across the counties. We are looking for enthusiastic Band 5 registered Mental Health staff nurses who are committed to delivering high quality patient care. You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team within the MBU and provide a high quality 24\/7 inpatient service for mothers experiencing acute perinatal mental health issues and their babies. You must be an NMC registered RMN\/RN (Mental Health) with a keen interest in perinatal mental health as well as experience of working within an acute mental health setting. If you have experience of working in a perinatal mental health setting, this would be advantageous. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside professionals offering a therapeutic input as well as wider community teams. If you want to join us in this exciting and challenging time and become part of a forward thinking and innovative Trust, then we want to meet you! IN CASES WHERE WE RECEIVE A HIGH VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS FOR A POST, IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO BRING THE CLOSING DATE FORWARD. YOU ARE ADVISED TO SUBMIT YOUR COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.

SHOULD YOU NOT HEAR FROM US WITHIN SIX WEEKS OF THE VACANCY CLOSING, PLEASE ASSUME THAT YOUR APPLICATION HAS NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL. Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship (formerly a Work Permit) Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU\/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Border Agency requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit UK Border Agency website. Production of false or forged documents\/qualifications in order to obtain employment is a criminal offence and will be reported to the Police.
