We are recruiting for a community based healthcare provider in Yorkshire who is looking for experienced endoscopy nurses or practitioners to join their team.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assume accountability of autonomous practice within the clinical area.
Be willing to act as Registered Manager within the service if the team grows to allow that need.
Responsible for all clinical audit with LCMS to ensure a safe environment for the patients. Also lead on other audits required within the service that have clinical elements/offerings such as QOF.
Support the Operational lead in delivering an effective quality service within budgetary constraints.
To support a culture of continuous quality improvement, evaluating standards of care and leading in the implementation of changes and nursing development.
Help support nursing research and maintain own knowledge, skills, expertise and experience.
Support the clinical team in the development, maintenance and review of nursing care pathways.
Offer ideas and partake in the formulation LCMS philosophy, strategy and policy under the guidance Clinical Services Manager and Operational leads.
Supervision, teaching/mentoring of nursing assistants, arrangement of training and mandatory study days.
Ensure that all clinical staff have an annual performance review.
Maintain a Personal Professional Portfolio in accordance with the requirements of NMC revalidation.
To contribute to the implementation and review of Health and Safety and security procedures for the benefit of staff and patients by liaison with practice health and safety personnel.
To contribute to the formulation of infection control policies and ensure compliance.
To produce and maintain accurate clinical records of treatments and procedures.
Risk assessment and health and safety.
Ensure the smooth running of the Clinical teams by taking responsibility for staffing levels and equipment maintenance.
Maintenance and review of health promotion literature and information for patients.
Management of medical supplies and stock control.
Liaise with other primary care and secondary care colleagues to ensure effective communication and share best practice, ensuring the clinical team operates in accordance with current guidelines, including NICE and NHSE.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Essential NMC registered nurse
• Desirability to be educated to masters level, with evidence of recent professional development
• Desirable Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualifications and experience
• Desirable Independent Nurse Prescriber
• Knowledge of working within primary care
• Essential previous managerial experience
• Desirability to have Preparation for mentorship course (ENB998) or equivalent
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Basic IT skills and ability to work with online programmes such as SystmOne
• Good time/resource management skills
• Knowledge and understanding of NHS recruitment and selection
