Band 6 - Senior Chemotherapy Staff Nurse
Working hours - Monday - Friday 9-5
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK's leading providers of non-surgical cancer treatment including pioneering chemotherapy, radiotherapy and eye proton therapy.
Employing more than 1,200 staff members we cover a population of 2.4million people in Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales, the Isle of Man and parts of Lancashire.
Caring for over 7,600 inpatients each year, our extensive network of clinics at 15 local hospitals provides highly-specialist cancer care at almost Apply outpatient appointments annually.
We are currently embarking on an £162 million investment in facilities including a new cancer hospital in the heart of Liverpool due to open next year. Based on the same thriving research and healthcare campus as the University of Liverpool and Royal Liverpool University Hospital, the new hospital will ensure every patient receives truly outstanding care and can access the most advanced treatments and clinical trials for generations to come .

An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and suitably qualified registered nurse to join our dynamic outpatient chemotherapy delivery nursing team. The successful candidate will be expected to work across the sector hub model, initally this post will cover the Private Unit for a minimum of 12 months.

Extensive experience of working in the oncology environment is essential as well as a chemotherapy delivery qualification. Evidence of continuing professional development including a teaching and assessing qualification is desirable; the applicant must also have a relevant degree or be working towards.

We are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals with excellent organisation, communication skills and ability to lead and drive change. Advanced nursing skills such as clinical examination would be desirable due to the drive towards nurse-led services within chemotherapy.

The post holder will be supporting staff and patients within the out-patient environment including sector hubs across Merseyside and play a major role in supporting the ward manager in future nursing developments.
