Shift patterns: 13, Spilt between long days and nights. 8 to 8.30 on rotation.
Salary £30672 - £35052 per annum dependant on experience

What you'll be doing
In this role, you will be a part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering a high standard of holistic family centred care to children and their families. You’ll be providing the highest standard of nursing care through ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe and effective care. You’ll work in accordance with NMC(Nursing and Midwifery Council) guidelines and prioritise patients’ needs with compassion and care.
What’s a typical day?
A typical day will be to use your excellent time management skills to ensure patients’ needs are met and you will have effective communication within the Multi-Disciplinary Team. You’ll be engaging in and promoting multi-disciplinary teamwork alongside: Specialist Doctors, nurses, interpreters and therapists. You will also be prescribing treatment safely to achieve positive patient outcomes. You will be participating in Research/Evidence based practice groups to enhance and maintain the delivery of care and assist senior nursing staff in planning for emergencies, staff absences and ward re-allocation in cases of unexpected admissions.

•NMC Registered – Child
•Clinical knowledge and experience of nursing in the required area
•Ability to plan and prioritize care for patients
•Good time management
•Effective communication skills – written and verbal
•Ability to work well both in a team and on own initiative
•Ability to complete drug calculations
•Good interpersonal skills
•Demonstrates use of initiative
•Supportive and approachable
•Strong national clinical network and clinical engagement
•Within our Oncology department, all Clinical staff trained in the Gold standard framework
