Salary: £24,214 - £30,112 per annum/pro rata

We are recruiting for a number of Staff Nurses within our new Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) service who share our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) is a national initiative which builds on previous improvement work in Ambulatory Emergency Care. We are proud to say that Medway is the first hospital in the South East to establish an SDEC centre. Phase one of SDEC launched successfully in June.
The team involved are working hard to improve patient experience by ensuring our patients receive the right care, first time, as well as encouraging more collaborative working between the Unplanned and Planned Care Directorate.
The successful post holder will be expected to carry out clinical practice within designated clinical areas, ensuring that high quality, current evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations for patients is provided from admission to discharge.
In addition, you will be responsible for the application of knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices, underpinned by theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
As part of our ongoing commitment to professional development we are offering a number of apprenticeships and training opportunities in Leadership and Management, Business Services, Finance, Accounting and HR, Clinical Support Work, Research and Innovation, Nursing Associate and Assistant Practitioner alongside our in-house comprehensive clinical pathways.
The Trust has also engaged with the renowned Henley Business School to be able to offer MBA, MA,BA, Executive Education, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.
