Job Description

The postholder will provide a defined drug and alcohol service to an allocated caseload of service users within the Specialist Prescribing Team, having responsibility for the co-ordination and where appropriate, co-facilitation of a client centred group program of therapeutic activities for individuals and groups of adults who experience substance misuse difficulties; under the supervision of the service manager / clinical lead, and lead group facilitator with input from other multi-disciplinary staff.

They will liaise as appropriate with other members of the multidisciplinary team and other agencies with the aim of addressing non medical issues that may be causing or exacerbating health problems (e.g. debt, poor housing, mental ill health, social isolation, etc.).

In addition the postholder will participate in integrated Governance process, particularly as they relate to own practice, contributing to the monitoring of service provision and performance, and standards of care, through data collection and audit processes.
