Compass Associates are working with a highly regarded multiple award winning private luxury care provider that operates a portfolio of care homes across the UK. The company are now looking for a high quality Deputy Manager in one of their longest serving nursing home in Farnborough, Hampshire. This role is with an excellent provider that has recently undergone a new refurbishment that has seen the business produce excellent results. They have one of the best induction and training processes in the care home sector to ensure Home Managers and all staff are rewarded for providing high quality care in line with CQC requirements.
You are a senior Registered Nurse with previous experience of supervising and leading teams. Perhaps you are looking to take the next step into a higher level clinical leadership role, or you might already be working at Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager Level, with experience in older people's care either in the public or private sector.
You relate well to people at all levels, enjoying all aspects of nursing and managing teams. You'll be someone who can inspire, motivate and lead by example.
This role will suit someone who is highly organised, takes the initiative, enjoys a challenge, works hard and is motivated to make a positive difference to the lives of our residents.
The key responsibilities of the Deputy Manager include
Be responsible for monitoring standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff by observation and direct involvement, ensuring that all residents receive quality person centred care and that care plans are fully maintained.
Support the Manager in the implementation of all policies, procedures and business objectives.
Preparing the staff duty rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.
Instructing staff in safe systems of work, fire safety and evacuation procedures, as well as inducting new staff.
Be responsible for monitoring each resident's state of wellbeing and being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, updating to reflect new needs.
Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their well-being, acting upon requests and ensuring concerns or complaints are dealt with appropriately.
Passion for Elderly care.
Extensive leadership experience.
Experience in running a Nursing homes.
Exposure to safeguarding's & CQC regulations.
Ability to market and establish relationships in the local community.
Nurse qualified - RGN or RMN.
Active NMC Pin.
The service is located in Farnborough, Hampshire. My client is currently recruiting for an experienced, motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse to join as the Deputy Home Manager. As Deputy Home Manager you will provide proactive support to the Home Manager across all aspects of Home Management, providing a safe, caring, stimulating and homely environment for residents and their visitors.
For this position it is essential that you hold a current NMC pin, alongside demonstrative experience of leading and managing teams within care homes. The salary for this role is between £38,000 - £45,000 abut dependent on experienced and what you can bring to the role.
