Florence Nightingale ward specialises in complex ENT and maxillofacial surgery. We are also the regional centre for Head and Neck cancer. It is a nominated ward for tracheostomy care and alongside this manages patients with complex feeding needs due to head & neck surgical conditions. Patients on the ward undergo surgical procedures such as – Laryngectomyformation, emergency & planned tracheotomy insertion, Neck dissections, FEES, genioplasty, Osteotomy andthyroidectomy.The patients stay will vary from an overnight stay to longer admission with complex needs and life-changing outcomes. We are welcoming nurses both with and without post-registration experience.

We offer excellent support to new members of the team, with a full induction and ongoing personal development supported by the Clinical Nurse Specialists, Practice Educators and the Ward Manager.
Candidates would be expected to work a 12-hour shift pattern, including days, nights and weekends.
