We are looking for qualified Band 5 nurses to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward -A602

You will learn all the essentials of post-operative care, from assessing patients immediately after surgery, to acute pain management, through enhanced recovery pathways to discharge planning. You will really feel part of a great team that helps patients get their independence back after an injury.

Most of our patients are emergency admissions, following falls and traumatic injuries, so you never know what the day will bring.

We are also the regional centre for limb reconstruction, constantly embracing technological advances.

We have an exemplary multi-professional team with nursing staff working alongside specialist physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, orthopaedic surgeons, and more, all playing their part to deliver personalised care tailored to individuals, with fantastic team spirit.

Our dedicated practice educator and experienced senior staff will guide you through the development of essential skills, along with a range of clinical nurse specialists who love to share their expertise. We have a comprehensive competency work book for you to complete, building up your clinical skills as well as your leadership and management skills as you work towards the nurse in charge role.

Band 5 Staff Nurses are expected to work mix of weekdays, weekends, night shifts and some bank holidays. Day shifts are 07:00 to 19:30; night shifts are 19:00 to 07:30
