Job Description

This post is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with extensive nursing experience in medical specialties and leadership skills. It will appeal to anyone who thrives in an environment which is focused on building upon and continually improving quality, safety and patient experience.

The post holder will work collaboratively with the Divisional Triumvirate teams and Director of Nursing. You will professionally and clinically lead the nursing workforce for allocated service areas that include the specialties Renal, Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Cardiac, Respiratory, Sexual Heath, HIV, Dermatology and Rheumatology.

As the post holder you will be responsible for the provision of safe, quality and effective services, as well as day to day operational management of the services within your remit. You will ensure the service provides the highest standards of professional practice, budgetary and performance management, and service improvement at all times; driving quality in our services to ensure outstanding patient care is at the heart of all we do.

We are seeking to recruit an inspirational leader with clinical expertise and the ability to direct and influence change and to develop and support the strategic portfolio. You will possess a demonstrable record of success in change management and service improvement and reduction of harm. The successful candidate will need to be able to continue to develop the workforce in order to meet the changing service demands.

Reporting to the Divisional Director, this post is a key professional leadership role within the organisation. You will need to be a strong communicator, able to deliver change in an engaging way and articulate our vision for a truly transformed future. The ability to inspire, motivate and influence across both professional and organisation boundaries is essential. Applicants must have a genuine passion for developing the nursing workforce to reach its full potential in order to deliver quality and safe services to the population we serve.
