Job Description

1x Permanent post

2x Fixed term/secondments (1 until October 2020 & 1 until Jan 2021)

Two of these posts are being advertised to address a temporary need, however the Trust has made the commitment to offer Registered Nurses a permanent contract with the Trust. In the event that the need for these posts ends, a suitable alternative post will be offered (this does not apply to other registered professions). Applicants should be aware that alternatives may require some flexibility on role and/or location.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services are seeking to recruit a CAMHS Nurse/Clinician to work in the CAMHS Crisis and Liaison Team. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

The post holder will work with children, young people and their families (0-18 years) with the principal objectives of providing crisis assessment and short term therapeutic interventions to the client group. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the effective management of a community caseload of children and young people referred to the service. Applicants should hold a professionally registered qualification; experience of working with children, young people and families is desired. It is also essential that they will have experience of working within a mental health/learning disability area, have a qualification in Child and Adolescent Mental Health or demonstrate a willingness to undertake further training in this area.

The post is based in Middlesbrough but subject to any future service review may be required to work in other locality teams.

Applicants must ensure that prior to applying they have agreement from their current line manager that they can be released on a secondment basis.
