My client is looking for an Area Manager to oversee the running of a portfolio of between 5-8 homes across Central Scotland from Montrose to Ayr, they predominantly provide general nursing and dementia care. The company is well respected in the area, offering some high-quality facilities, and the highest level of care to its residents. The homes are about to under go huge investment and will become a bench mark of luxury care in the area.  


The Candidate      

My client is looking for someone with a strong background in elderly care and they must have experience in managing a care home. The suitable candidate will have a working knowledge of the Care Inspectorate and how they work and operate. We are looking for someone who has a passion for care and wants to develop themselves as a high-quality Area Manager. This role is ideal for a Home Manager ready to make the next step in there career and who is ready to develop there skills in management and leadership.    


The perfect candidate will have a successfully managed a staff team, with a drive to excel and a visible passion for elderly care. Nursing experience is vital for this role and an active pin is required.

This role is based in between Montrose and Ayrshire with most homes being based between Edinburgh and Glasgow. This role would be commutable from Dundee, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline, Stirling, Falkirk, Livingston, Paisley, Hamilton and Kilmarnock.  


Interview Process: The interview process will be in a 2-stage format.               


Stage one: Informal meeting with the Operations Manager.    


Stage two: Formal interview Operations Director and CEO with a presentation.    



My client is seeking a Area Manager with exposure to elderly care, where the successful candidate is able to lead and inspire a team to provide high quality care. In exchange, my client is offering a £55k -£65k salary.
