Occupational Health Clinical Manager


Full time permanent role

Salary 50k circa excellent benefits

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Health Clinical Manager to be based from their offices in London with travel to locations within the South.

The role will be to manage and provide professional leadership to Occupational Health Nurse Advisors, Technicians and the wider multidisciplinary team within the Occupational Health department. Assisting the Head of Wellbeing in leading and advancing clinical practice in line with guidelines and legislation. To provide all aspects of OH care including consultation, advice, education, testing and immunisations where appropriate and in accordance with departmental protocols and undertake day to day management of OHNA's and OH Technicians. Ensure compliance with responsibilities imposed by health and safety legislation, whilst maximising and promoting the health of all employees, as well as reducing the risk of cases of occupational ill health developing.

  • To champion best practice in occupational health provision
  • To provide professional local leadership, advice, support and guidance to the Occupational Health Nurse Advisors, Technicians and wider multidisciplinary team.
  • To respond to employee/manager's requests for support/information on the working environment
  • To undertake clinical case management as required
  • To provide positive, professional, accountable leadership to ensure the advancement of OH nursing practice and the role of Occupational Health within the business
  • To work with the Head of Wellbeing to review the Nursing skill mix and to develop and support ongoing recruitment. To take a senior role in the development and provision of a high profile and proactive Occupational Health Service
  • Assist in the development of the department's business plans and strategy.
  • Undertake defined projects as agreed with the Head of Wellbeing to support the delivery of high quality clinically effective care
  • To assist the Head of Wellbeing to monitor, review and develop Occupational Health Policies and procedures to ensure they meet legislation and reflect standards of best practice.

Experience and qualifications

  • Registered with NMC part 1
  • Occupational Health qualification Degree or Diploma
  • Experience of managing an OH Team,with strong leadership and management skills.
