Extra Care Deputy Manager

Dorset

I am currently looking for a deputy manager for a Modern extra care service based in Poole that delivers a very high standard of care and support for their services users enabling them to live independently for as long as possible.

To be considered for the role of extra care Deputy Manager you must:

Proven track record of working in the care sector;

Experience in leading and managing care teams;

Strong communication skills;

Excellent customer relations

An innovative approach to care delivery and willingness to embrace technology to enhance the residents independence;

Experience of developing person centred care plans

Good understanding of the key lines of enquiry and regulations of CQC;

Good understanding and experience of recognising, reporting and managing safeguarding concerns;

Extremely high standards and expectations to deliver quality care;

Resilience and problem solving skills;

A minimum of NVQ 3

The successful extra care manager will:

Play an important part in developing and implementing evidence based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and individualised activity programmes;

Leading and supervising the support and nursing teams to deliver the highest standards of person centred care

You will be familiar in areas concerning sickness management, staff training and development, and coaching and mentoring.

Be able to communicate with the service users, their families and colleagues,

Have a good understanding of the disabilities, health and social care needs

Provide appropriate levels of care and support

It is essential to be Health and Safety aware, to ensure the safety of the services users and colleagues.
