Job Description

The commitment of our 17,100 staff is key to our success. We are one of the largest local employers and we aim to develop and support all our staff so they are able to deliver high quality, safe and efficient care. The 2018 NHS staff survey results show that we have one of the most engaged and motivated workforces in the NHS. We know this has a positive impact on the care provided to our patients.

We are expanding our service to enhance our recipient work up programme and to cover a new 24 hour on-call service to accept kidney offers for recipients on the deceased donor waiting list. To support this exciting new venture, we are looking for 2 band 6 nurse specialist to work alongside our existing team of band 7 nurses. The position is based at Guy's Hospital and provides many opportunities for professional development and collaborative working.
We have one full-time permanent vacancy in the team for an experienced renal nurse with an interest in recipient work up and a one year maternity leave cover/secondment for a renal nurse who is looking to develop their experience in a renal setting.
You will have proven renal experience at band 6 level, with excellent organisational skills. Experience of renal recipient work, caseload management and the ability to work autonomously will be an advantage.
