Our client is the major Health facility on the beautiful Island of Guernsey , in the Channel Islands. We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join the service as Band 7 Ward Manager, to lead the teams on the 9-bedded Paediatric Ward and 3-cot Neonatal Unit.
Please note; The States of Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale. The current Band 7 salary is up to £50,172 plus an annual bonus of £1,120, higher penalty rates; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
You will act as a leader, advisor and role model, ensuring appropriate standards of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care are delivered to patients/clients within their clinical setting, as well as, implementing and monitoring quality assurance initiatives including development of action plans and measuring outcomes.
You will also take charge of the unit and have 24 hour responsibility, deputising for the Paediatric Matron in their absence.

Delivering a diverse range of healthcare services within the hospital, and supporting people in the wider community, their Health Service provides excellent Paediatric care, supported by Great Ormond Street, London, by modern equipment and Nurses recruited to a very high standard.
Registered Paediatric Nurse with part 8 or 15 NMC registration.
Current Band 7 or senior Band 6 experience in both Neonatal (level 2) and general Paediatric ward settings.
Completion of a Mentorship qualification.
