We are recruiting for a Staff Nurse who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
Keats ward is a 26 bedded male gastroenterology ward welcoming nurses of all ages and backgrounds to work as part of a dynamic and developing team. The ward will enable you to develop your skills within the speciality and encourage you to expand your knowledge by attending training days and putting skills into practice.
Keats ward will give you the chance to take on a link nurse role and encourages opportunities to do shadowing days in other relevant departments. We enable all of our nurses to obtain their competencies for IV's, PICC lines, NG tubes, PEG tubes and much more and are prepared to invest in you regardless of previous experience.
Keats ward work closely with three other wards as part of a specialist medicine programme and are committed to delivering the best of care to all of our patients to enable excellent patient experience. Patients are admitted to the ward from ED and other specialities, some of our common complaints include upper GI bleeds, complications from liver disease, alcohol withdrawal, diseases affecting the digestive system and many general medical illnesses.

On Keats ward we work very closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team including doctors, physiotherapists, discharge team and many more to enable the patient journeys to be as pleasant as possible whilst in hospital.
As part of our ongoing commitment to professional development we are offering a number of apprenticeships and training opportunities in Leadership and Management, Business Services, Finance, Accounting and HR, Clinical Support Work, Research and Innovation, Nursing Associate and Assistant Practitioner alongside our in-house comprehensive clinical pathways.
The Trust has also engaged with the renowned Henley Business School to be able to offer MBA, MA,BA, Executive Education, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.
