Occupational Health Nurse Advisor
Oxford
Full time permanent role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor based in Oxford. This will be a full time permanent position joining a very well established in house Occupational Health Team.
Working closely with your fellow colleagues in the Occupational Health Service multidisciplinary team, the role will require that you apply your professional knowledge and skills to contribute to delivering a comprehensive and effective Occupational Health services ensuring that high professional and quality standards are maintained on a consistent basis and in line with best practice.
The majority of the role will focus on health surveillance, vaccinations and phlebotomy however, there will be a requirement to triage and manage new starter reviews, undertake fitness for work assessments and support case management referral.

Experience and qualifications
RGN with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Part 1 on the
register
Fully up to date, with relevant certificates of training competence, for Vaccinations and
Phlebotomy and able to commence these activities immediately without additional
training
Committed to continuing professional development (inclusive of undertaking courses to
enable fulfilment of the role such as Audiometry, Spirometry, HAVS and a degree
course in Occupational Health, where appropriate)
Good IT skills in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, etc
Must be prepared to travel to satellite clinics on a weekly basis


Desirable selection criteria
Degree level(or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Health nursing
Registered as a SCPHN (OH) on Part 3 of the NMC register
Up to date training and certification of competence in Audiometry, Spirometry, Hand Arm
Vibration assessment (to tier 3 level) and interpretation of results
Previous experience of working with Cohort or equivalent OH patient record electronic
platforms.
