Our multiple sites, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Solihull Hospital and Community Services, Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham Chest Clinic allow people to be treated as close to home as possible.

We are a regional centre for cancer, bone marrow transplants, trauma, renal dialysis, burns and plastics, HIV and AIDS, as well as respiratory conditions like cystic fibrosis; thoracic surgery and have the largest solid organ transplantation programme in Europe.
We provide a series of highly specialist cardiac, liver and neurosurgery services to patients from across the UK.
We are world-renowned for our trauma care and have developed pioneering surgical techniques in the management of ballistic and blast injuries, including bespoke surgical solutions for previously unseen injuries. We are a designated a Level 1 Trauma Centre and host of the UK’s only £20m National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Surgical Reconstruction and Microbiology Research Centre (SRMRC).

We have opportunities for band 5 Staff Nurses to work in our Older Adult wards at Solihull; Good Hope; Heartlands or Queen Elizabeth Hospitals
We are looking for experienced nurses with excellent clinical skills and an interest in the health care of older adults to join our dynamic team.
The wards shares all the excellent benefits that UHBFT has to offer, which including a IT system that is of excellent standard and assist the nursing team in been able to assess the patient holistically within minutes.
The trust has an excellent in house training facility to assist all staff to reach their career goals. Practice development nurses and Clinical educators are on hand to assist with any queries and assistance in building up practice with skills required. The wards takes a proactive part in helping ensure staff are able to attend training to help them develop the skills they need to ensure they provide the highest standard of care to their patients.
We are looking for dynamic and motivated nurses who are able to excel in a very busy environment, catering for a diversity of patients with acute and chronic medical and nursing needs, inclusive of patients with Dementia and Delirium.
The post holder will be required to work flexibly across days, nights and weekends.
