Community learning disability nurse
Band 6

We are looking to recruit an experienced Community Learning Disability Nurse to work within the Dudley Community Nursing Team. The team are based at Ridge Hill Centre, Dudley and provide a service across the borough of Dudley.
The Post Holder will be responsible for providing a clinical service and specialist support and advice to an allocated group of Service Users. They will be required to work in Partnership with Service Users, Families, members of the Community Clinical Team and Partner Agencies.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a positive attitude to working with people with learning disabilities and a strong person centred value base. They will need to be motivated, patient and possess a caring and empathic attitude. Candidates will also need to possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Candidates will be required to work unsupervised in a variety of settings and therefore the ability to assess risk, use their own initiative, and manage their own time effectively is essential.
The post holder must be able to demonstrate a commitment to developing both their skills and knowledge within the field of Learning Disabilities, and in return you will join a forward thinking and committed team of dedicated staff and a Trust that provides in-house training and clinical supervision in a friendly and supportive environment.
