Position: Deputy Nurse Manager
Care Service: Nursing home
Area: Formby, Merseyside
Salary: £33,696 p/annum
36 hours per week

We are recruiting for an experienced deputy manager for a small, well-established nursing home in Formby, Merseyside. The care company offers nursing care to the elderly.
This home has fantastic facilities within a stunning Victorian house. Providing a homely and relaxed environment, with mature gardens and recently modernised decoration throughout.
This provider has an excellent reputation within the local community for providing high standards of care to the elderly and they are looking for an experienced deputy nurse to join their team!

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced deputy manager to join the team of this experienced care provider within the local area of Formby, Merseyside.
The role:
This vacancy is for 36-hour shifts p/week. Although the shifts will predominantly be supernumerary day shifts. In the absence of the manager or staff, you will be expected to support the needs of the business.
You will be expected to support the nursing team to provide nursing care to the residents of the home.

Key responsibilities of a Deputy Manager:
·Minimum of 2 years Nursing Home experience (essential)
·Administer and order medicines as required by the home in accordance with the homes' policies and procedures
·Assist the Manager to produce and maintain systems and procedures for auditing and assuring quality of care provided by the home
·Work within the NMC codes of conduct and scope of practice and within the homes' policies and procedures.
·Provide support and professional supervision to care staff and nursing staff as appropriate.
·Ensure effective communication with relatives and other healthcare professionals.
·Ensure confidentiality regarding all aspects of care and management of the home is maintained.
·Assessing and responding to clinical risk, and having a good understanding of the regulatory framework.
Skills and experience
Must be Nurse qualified (RGN/RMN/RNLD)
•Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
•Have a clear and thorough knowledge of the CQC standards and nursing code of conduct
•Experience with care of the elderly a bonus

·£18.00 p/h
