Job Description

Role: Senior Cardiac Scrub Theatre Practitioner
Location: The London Bridge Hospital
Hours: Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Saturday, 5 days per week.
Shifts: 7:00am-15:00pm, 13:00-21:00pm
Salary: Competitive + allowances + Golden Hello

We are looking for a Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner with strong Cardiac experience to join our London Bridge Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.

What you will do:

  • Preparing and maintaining the sterile field, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative period
  • Monitor and manage the patient's condition during surgery, anticipating the needs of the surgical team
  • Providing high-quality care to patients undergoing a variety of Cardiac procedures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of perioperative care and any interventions performed.
  • Delegate and co-ordinate the team in the delivery of care for a theatre list.

What you will bring:
  • Current HCPC/NMC Registration
  • Experience Scrubbing in Operating Theatres
  • Cardiac experience - CABG, Minimally invasive, Mini mitro surgery, Angio / Cath lab, TAVIS, PCIC, AVR, Valve replacements, TAVI, Elephant trunk, Aorta Valve replacement, Dissections, Heart & Lung Transplants.
  • Other experience-ENT, Orthopaedic, Urology (Ideal, not essential)
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and confident to support the theatre team.
