We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Nurse to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Leeds , a category B men's Prison located i n Gloucester Terrace in the Armley area of Leeds in West Yorkshire.

Lots of opportunity to develop and become more specialist in Health in Justice within substance misuse but also within primary care nursing.
Hours
37.5 hours a week working a mix of day and nights, dependant on what is required but they are flexible on when these days/nights are worked. Day time shifts are 7am-8.30pm and night shifts are 8pm-7.30am. Weekends will be one or two a month.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £46,500per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
- Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model
- Be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
- Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information
- Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions. You will occasionally be required to support dispensing
- Have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person centred approach.

- Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
