University Hospital Limerick is looking for a dedicated and experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join our dynamic Emergency Department. This role is key to providing top-quality care while leading and shaping the future of emergency services at the hospital.

• Lead the Team: Support and guide the Emergency Department team, including Non-Consultant Hospital Doctors (NCHDs), ensuring a collaborative and positive working environment.
• Provide Excellent Care: Deliver fast, expert care to patients, using the latest evidence-based practices to achieve the best outcomes.
• Improve Services: Take an active role in developing and enhancing emergency services in line with hospital plans and objectives.
• Safety & Quality: Lead initiatives to improve patient safety and care quality, including audits and quality improvement projects.
• Collaborate: Work closely with other departments and hospital management to implement key healthcare policies and drive improvements in service delivery.

• Significant experience as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
• A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and driving continuous improvement.
• Eligible for IMC specialist registration

Location: University Hospital Limerick

Hours: 37 per week
Salary: €226,000 - €272,000 per annum
