Job Description
Care Assistant - Mental Health & Dementia Nursing Home
Location: Ilkley
Hours: Full-time, Days or Nights (12-hour shifts: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM or 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM)
Contract: 36-48 hours per week

The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents with their daily lives. Whether working days or nights, you'll deliver exceptional care and build meaningful relationships that make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident Care: Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily activities, promoting independence where possible.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and foster a positive environment for residents.
- Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in residents' health or well-being to senior staff.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the nursing and care team to meet the individual needs of residents.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date care documentation.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for kind, compassionate, and reliable care assistanta who are passionate about caring for residents with mental health conditions and dementia.
Skills and Attributes:
- A caring and empathetic nature.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts on a rota basis.
- Experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
