You will have high quality support from service leads who are passionate about developing psychosis services in Kent & Medway.

The successful candidates will be responsible for offering high quality assessment and intervention (including CBT/CBTp and family interventions) to young people entering the service. Case consultation and joint working with staff in the multi-professional team will also be an expectation.

We have x 2 posts available, x1 in Dartford or Tunbridge Wells and x1 based in Canterbury. Please do apply to this vacancy if you are interested in either of these positions.

Candidates must hold a postgraduate Qualification in CBT/Psychology, and hold HCPC registration, and have experience of working with people with mental health problems.

To undertake high quality direct and indirect specialist NICE compliant interventions

To strengthen the MDT's therapeutic capacity & work effectively with teams.

To deliver an effective service it is essential that you are able to travel between bases and home visits in a timely manner.

The Service

This is an exciting development for EIP services in Kent and Medway following recent investment to develop an At Risk Mental State Service (ARMS). This new multi-professional service will provide comprehensive assessment and formulation for people aged 14 to 35 years who are at ultra-high risk of developing psychosis. Treatment includes CBT for psychosis and co-existing mental health needs; family interventions/carers support, and a psycho-social therapeutic program that is trauma informed.

The ARMS service will work collaboratively with other service providers including ChYPS, Substance Misuse Services and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) services (Live Well Kent and Medway, MIND) and the 18-25 pathway for young people. This will not only allow quick easy access to treatment but enhance support for the delivery of the psychosocial offer to young people in schools, colleges, universities and local communities.
