Social Care Manager

CPL Healthcare is now accepting applications from experienced Social Care Manager for our established client in Cork City. Our client provides emergency accommodation for families who are experiencing homelessness. The Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a service aimed at providing a welcoming, compassionate, and professional service to all residents - adults and children in the centre.

The Social Care Manager will work with a staff team and up to 17 families who are experiencing homelessness. This position will involve working a 39 hour week with some flexibility around working hours and some out of hours on-call will be required.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognised professional qualification in Social Care or an appropriate equivalent.
• A minimum of five years post qualification experience.
• Senior experience in a management / leadership role.
• Strategic thinking and ability to contribute to strategic planning and development of the centre.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamworking skills.
• Professional, caring and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable women, children and families.
• Knowledge of the homelessness sector and experience in a residential setting is preferred.
• Commitment to the vision, mission and values of my client.
