Scrub Nurse- Leading UK NHS Hospital

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Trust is recruiting experienced scrub and anaesthetic nurses.

Royal Papworth Hospital is the UKs leading heart and lung hospital, treating more than Apply patients each year; they moved into a brand-new state of the art hospital in April 2019 situated on the same campus as Cambridge University Hospital.

There are five operating theatres and two hybrid theatres based in the hospital. Each theatre is equipped to carry out the full range of cardiac, thoracic and transplant operations. Three theatres have facilities for remote viewing of operations, in the lecture theatre, by visiting surgeons or staff from other hospitals. Procedures undertaken include coronary artery bypass grafts, valve repair, valve replacement, heart, mechanical cardiac assist device implantation, pulmonary endarterectomy surgery and a wide variety of thoracic operations and endoscopic procedures.

As a tertiary and national referral centre, the unit also admits patients needing mechanical support such as extra corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), treatment for heart failure, and following transplant and pulmonary endarterectomy (PEA) surgery. In addition, we treat patients with cardiothoracic emergencies, e.g. aortic dissection and chest trauma.

Interested candidates must have

• Recognised Nursing qualification
• Minimum of 12 months recent experience working as a Scrub Nurse or Anaesthetic Nurse
• Have past OET / IELTs and submitted documents to the NMC
• Past CBT or a CBT booking
• Good communication skills

• Starting salary £23949 (pre-registration salary upon arrival and up to obtaining PIN/post OSCE)
• Salary upon receipt of NMC registration ranges from £27005-£32934 and will be put on correct salary point in line with previous years of experience
