Knowledge & Qualifications

Essential
  • Registered Nurse (Adult)
  • Studying towards a degree or willing to undertake
Desirable
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent
Experience

Essential
  • Minimum 12 months clinical experience at Band 5 (or equivalent) in an acute specialty
  • Able to prioritise own workload and that of others appropriate to grade
  • Demonstrate awareness of the importance of working as part of a team
  • Able to work on / under own initiative
  • Experienced in administration of oral and IV medication
Desirable
  • Able to take charge and delegate duties
Skills & Abilities (KSF dimen

  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to engage with others and work as part of a team
  • Demonstrates evidence of professional development
  • Demonstrates an awareness of the role of a facilitator. Experience of facilitating others' practice
