Job Description
The post holder will take responsibility for contributing to an expert assessment, diagnosis and management service to children with complex neurodevelopmental disorders. The role will require close liaison and working in partnership with community the child/young person, their families, therapy services and/or other appropriate agencies.
The post holder will be required to assist senior colleagues as and when necessary in tasks related to audit, teaching and supervision. The post holder should have an interest in current research and national policy and will be encouraged to maintain and develop this focus.

Essential criteria
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in paediatrics at Senior level.
- Knowledge of specialist paediatric approaches in neurodevelopment.
- High standard of performance in a range of neuro-developmental and general paediatric skills.
Essential criteria
- Specialist knowledge, understanding and application of Occupational Therapy process relating to client centred practice.
- Implementation of national initiatives and legislation relating to Health and Social Care in relation to Occupational Therapy.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interactive skills.
- Experience of working within multi-disciplinary diagnostic and intervention services
Essential criteria
- Specialist knowledge, application and analysis of standardised assessment tools
- To carry out standardised and nonstandardised assessments and advise on intervention and management to facilitate and promote functional independence.
- Experience of Audit and research
- HPC Registration
