Gastroenterology Scrub Nurse
£36,000 - £40,000 per annum, plus enhancements & benefits

TFS Healthcare are delighted to be working with a hospital that have raised the bar continuously for excellence and continue to do so with their theatre complex. We are seeking a Gastroenterology Scrub Nurse with good gastroenterology experience to join a state of the art theatre suite and work with the latest equipment and treatment options available. The successful Gastroenterology Scrub Nurse will already have gastroenterology experience (essential) and be accomplished in assisting in a variety of complex procedures.
About the client:
In the Perioperative team, we provide services across Theatres, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, Day Care Unit, and the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit. We welcome nurses and Operating Department Practitioners to join our state-of-the-art facilities and help us deliver exceptional care to patients.
We have 8 states of the art theatres covering our surgical institutes including, a hybrid theatre, robotic theatre and intraoperative MRI facilities. We cover many specialties including cardiovascular, thoracic, Neuro, Spinal, Orthopaedic, Plastics, Urology, Gynae, and general surgery.
About the role:
- The Gastroenterology Scrub Nurse is responsible for working with the multi-disciplinary Theatre team to assess, implement and evaluate effective care.
- The post holder will be a skilled member of the Operating Theatre team providing the highest standard of care and ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Manage the clinical workload effectively, ensuring care is prioritised appropriately.
- Participate in own Individual Performance Review and after suitable training, to be responsible for undertaking timely reviews for own team of junior practitioner.

About the Individual:
- Nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) required.
- Post-registration qualification relevant to functional speciality i.e. Scrub Practitioner.
- No restrictions to practice on NMC record or HCPC record.
- Substantial experience as a Scrub Nurse in a Gastroenterology setting
