Main duties of the job
Our requirement
The Burns Unit are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individuals who have ICU skills (candidates must have 12 months NHS ICU experience) to work in a changing and challenging environment. They must be confident, approachable and able to demonstrate ability to work under own initiative.
We are looking for staff nurses with a compassionate, caring nature who will focus on the delivery of care, working to ensure standards are met and improved within the clinical environment working closely with nursing colleagues, multidisciplinary team and partner organisations.

Education and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse
  • Degree or Diploma
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching Qualification
  • Degree level 6 study
Experience

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of current nursing issues
  • Experience of working on own and as part of a team
  • Ability to supervise and support junior staff.
  • Evidence of teaching and assessing skills/ability.
  • Awareness of clinical Audit
Desirable criteria
  • Previous Burns Experience
  • Wound Care Knowledge
  • Experience in relevant area of practice
  • Evidence undertaking a mentor/preceptor role
