Theatre Co-ordinator/Team Leader

Theatre Team Leader | Theatre | Band 7 dependent on experience | Washington | Full Time, No Nights.

S pire Washington is a 35 in-patient bedded hospital with 10 consultation and 2 treatment rooms based just off junction 63 of the A1 with great commuter links. Our Hospital offers a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres covering specialities including Orthopaedics and Gynaecology and a full Diagnostic suite.

We have an exciting opportunity to lead of talented and friendly Theatre Team at Spire Washington.

Duties and responsibilities:

To provide exemplary planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention while managing a team and to deputise for the Theatre Manager in their absence.

To provide exemplary planned care for patients while managing more than one perioperative team in a safe, efficient and financially successful manner while maximising theatre utilisation.

Who we're looking for:

Be NMC registered or HCPC Registered

Desirable: Supervisory/Management qualification

Analysing staff and theatre management problems and coming up with viable solutions

Working as a perioperative practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams

Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes

Competence across a range of either surgical, anaesthetic or post-anaesthesia, management and leadership skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge
