Compass Associates are extremely excited to be working in partnership with one of the UK's most trusted specialist Ophthalmic hospitals in their search for Scrub Nurses  to join their diverse and enigmatic team. The state-of-the-art hospital works closely with some of the top consultants in their field to provide a range of ophthalmic services including lens replacement, laser eye and cataract surgeries as well as vitrectomies and numerous diagnostic tests.

The hospital is looking for an experienced scrub practitioner who has experience within a similar role. The successful candidate will be fulfilling a range of procedures within Ophthalmics as well as contributing to the future development of the service. They will be able to use their clinical knowledge to ensure the affective and appropriate care of patients whilst providing a consistent standard of care in line with the expectations of the hospital. They will be dynamic within their role, someone who is able to work within a high performing team - previous experience within Anaesthetics would be preferred but is not essential.

Essential Requirements

- Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification

- Current NMC/ HCPC  registration

- Previous Scrub Nurse experience  (any speciality)

- Previous experience in Anaesthetics would be beneficial to your application

- Evidence of on-going professional development

- Computer Literate

- Positive and flexible attitude

- Problem solving and analytical skills

- Excellent communication skills
