Deputy Manager | Elderly Nursing Care | Liverpool
Must be a Senior Registered Nurse with an NMC Pin and a Nursing Qualification
The Salary is up to £43,000 per year - Working office hours.
The Brief: A unique opportunity for an organised and methodical Senior Registered Nurse to work as the Deputy Manager in a modern and welcoming Care Home based in Liverpool.
Key Details
Working directly with the Manager, standing in for the absence of the manager and will be the second most senior person in the care.
The current home manager is a Registered Nurse also.
Working hours are 45hrs weekly contract on the Day shift, 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday
Mainly supernumerary with some nursing shifts when the service requires.
The Salary is up to £43,000 per year
Must have an active NMC Pin, Nursing Qualification and experience in a similar position
The Care Home
The Care Home is a new, modern and purpose-built Care Home offering elderly & specialist dementia care.
The care home is part of a family-owned care provider, it is dedicated to providing exceptional care with family values running through each Care Home. This makes it a very relaxed yet efficient working environment where staff have earned their trust and can enjoy working in a challenging and demanding role.
The home has a poor CQC report, they are looking for a Deputy Manager to work alongside the new home manager to improve the service and maintain this for the foreseeable future.
Qualifications and Skills
To be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council
You have a Degree in Adult, Learning Disability or Mental Health Nursing.
Must have 1 year of experience in a similar role as a CSM/Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager/Night Manager/Home Manager
Strong leadership experience with the ability to plan allocate and delegate work appropriately and the ability to play a leadership role in contributing to improving and maintaining the best practice of care in the home.
A professional attitude is essential with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Duties
Mainly supernumerary, office-based position with some nursing shifts required when the service needs this alongside, some on-call duties shared between you and the manager.
Support the Manager in the implementation of all policies, procedures and business objectives.
Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals.
A range of operational activities; assumes responsibility for managing the Home during the manager's absences, marketing the Home to existing and potential residents and relatives, planning Rota’s and adhering to Budgets.
